Viet Dinh
Principal
Viet Dinh is a Principal at Palanquin Advisors LLC. He previously served as the Chief Legal and Policy Officer of Fox Corporation, where he oversaw all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters for one of the world's largest media companies.
With a distinguished career in public service, Viet served as the U.S. Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy. In this role, he was a principal architect of the USA PATRIOT Act and played a leading role in the Department of Justice's national security and criminal justice initiatives.
Viet's expertise spans complex litigation, regulatory enforcement, and government investigations. He has argued numerous cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal and state appellate courts on issues ranging from constitutional law to corporate governance.
A dedicated public servant and educator, Viet has also served as a Professor of Law at Georgetown University and holds positions on several corporate and nonprofit boards.
Viet graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He clerked for Justice Sandra Day O'Connor of the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge Laurence Silberman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
